Pay More Get Less - Prices Soar while Labour hits the poor!

money going down a drain

The cost of food, fuel and other household essentials is rising rapidly as Gordon Brown loses control of the economy.

Families in Liverpool face a £400 increase in heating bills this winter. Petrol prices are soaring. The Governor of the Bank of England has admitted that many family incomes will fall.

Labour's response to the growing economic crisis was to DOUBLE the tax rate for the lowest earners by scrapping the 10p band.

Under Gordon Brown's unfair system the poorest tax payers now pay a higher proportion of their income in tax than super-rich millionaires.

Liberal Democrats believe that ordinary people should pay less tax not more.

That is why the Lib Dems want a 4p in the pound cut in the basic rate of income tax.

Local Lib Dem shadow MP Colin Eldridge said: "With family budgets stretched to the limit, Labour's tax hike is wrong and heartless. Most people should be paying less tax not more.

Local people may be shocked to learn that it is their Labour MP, Jane Kennedy, who as financial secretary to the treasury, is carrying out Gordon Brown's tax grab from ordinary families"
