Reaction to Jane Kennedy resignation

The current Labour MP for Liverpool Wavertree, Jane Kennedy, has today (8th June) resigned from the Government. She was a junior minister in the environment department.

Speaking today, Colin Eldridge, Prospective Lib Dem MP for Wavertree said:

"This is another sign that Labour is in turmoil and Gordon Brown has not got control of his own government. What we need is a general election."
