Come clean Jane says Lib Dem Campaigner

Colin Eldridge, Prospective MP for Liverpool Wavertree, has today called on Jane Kennedy MP to come clean over her expenses.

Her expenses show that the Labour MP claimed the maximum £400 per month for food 20 out of 36 months between Jan '05 and Dec '07.

Additional claims include £307.98 for a digital camera in 2008.

Colin Eldridge said:

"Our MP claimed a staggering £10,560 for food between 2005 and 2007 from the taxpayer!"

"Given that lots of Liverpool families are struggling to make ends meet during the current recession our MP needs to explain how she can justify such expense claims."

"I really don't know how an individual could spend £400 in one month on food unless you were living on Champagne and Caviar every night!"

"The people of Liverpool have a right to know what our MP's are spending our money on. Jane Kennedy should immediately explain how she came up with these figures and how she can justify them to her constituents!"
